Country Road, Lumsden, Saskatchewan
We’re proud to be working with the Town of Lumsden to bring a 5.5-acre, family-friendly park to life for residents of The Country and the surrounding community. Planned as a multi-phase development, the park will feature tree-lined walking paths, a large pond, play structures, a sport court, and more.
As the park evolves, this space will become a central gathering place designed for everyday use and long-term enjoyment. Follow along as we continue to share updates on its progress.
In collaboration with the Town of Lumsden, we developed the concept plan for this 5.5-acre park and are proud to play a key role in bringing it to life. Our contribution includes dedicating the full park site, completing the initial earthworks to rough grade, and placing topsoil and grass seed to establish the foundation. We will also continue to invest financially as development progresses through its early phases.
The Town of Lumsden will lead the park’s development and long-term management, using their experience and resources to deliver and maintain the high-quality greenspaces the community is known for.
A park of this size is built in stages, with each phase laying the groundwork for what comes next.
The initial phase focused on earthworks and underground infrastructure, including a pond designed to manage stormwater from a 1-in-10-year rainfall event. This system supports water flow for both the subdivision and surrounding areas year-round.
As of spring 2026, major progress is visible on site. Irrigation has been installed across the south half of the park, over 100 trees have been planted, and grass seed is now in place, beginning to shape the landscape.
Looking ahead, upcoming phases will continue to build out the park’s core infrastructure. This includes anticipated work on the parking area, maintenance building, washroom facilities, and additional tree planting, along with groundwork to prepare for future park features.
As with any municipal project, timelines are influenced by tendering, scheduling, and construction coordination, but each phase moves the park closer to becoming a fully realized community space.
