Living in Lumsden

The Country is located in the Town of Lumsden, Saskatchewan, off Highway 11 in the scenic Qu’Appelle Valley.

Lumsden is located approximately 15 minutes away from the Regina bypass and major traffic exchanges. Using the bypass, you can get from your front door to Costco in under 35 minutes.

Lumsden is home to two schools. École Lumsden offers French Immersion (kindergarten to grade 8) and English track (pre-kindergarten to grade 8) provincial curricula. Lumsden High School, located right next door, offers standard provincial curricula to grades 9-12 (with French Immersion currently available for grade 9 and grades 10-12 to be added over the next three years). Both schools are operated as part of the Prairie Valley School Division and offer a wide range of extra-curricular activities and sports.

Lumsden has all of the major services, including education, childcare, sewer and wastewater, snow removal and street sweeping, weekly garbage pick-up, services for seniors, campgrounds, public parks and rentable facilities, post office, RCMP and fire services, emergency medical services, and pharmacy.

Lumsden also has a number of amenities and local businesses including; automotive, financial, fitness, health and beauty, six restaurants/bars, and liquor store.

Lumsden boasts several attractions, organizations and organized sports for families of all ages to enjoy and participate in.
